Describe the range with examples
Choose representative work from the common end of the mix and the more demanding end. Explain what differs: thickness, joint geometry, weld requirements, or how the assembly is presented.
Avoid letting an occasional unusual part dominate the package without discussing its commercial importance. The primary recurring work should remain visible throughout the selection process. A system can be specified for a defined range without promising universal capability.
Separate available processes from included processes
Fronius documentation distinguishes process capabilities and equipment configurations. A product family offering several options does not mean every quotation includes all of them.
Ask for a clear statement of the selected welding package and any optional capabilities. Where an option is recommended, connect it to the work it is expected to support. This makes it easier to judge whether it is necessary for the initial application or a possible later consideration.

The matrix does not prescribe which process belongs on a material or thickness. That selection requires application-specific information and the appropriate technical review.
Why a long option list can obscure the decision
More available processes may be useful, but availability in a product family is not the same as inclusion in the quoted configuration. Hardware, enabled packages, and supported integrations matter. A broad manufacturer capability should not become an unstated promise about every Spartan system.
For each recommended option, identify the joint or application concern it addresses. If there is no defined use, classify it as an optional planning choice rather than a requirement for the first project.
Worked example: a primary family and a future product
Suppose a shop has established bracket production and is considering a future enclosure design. The bracket requirements can support a concrete package review. The enclosure concept may justify discussing possible flexibility, but it should not be counted as proven coverage while its joints remain undefined.
Keeping those cases separate makes the proposal clearer without preventing sensible planning for growth. Review the WeldX workflow and the robot approach alongside the selected Fronius capabilities. The objective is a coherent first scope with explicit extensions, not a claim that one package handles every eventual part mix.
